Jim Delaney submits: As Google (GOOG) kicks the concept of a trade war up a notch to the cyber level, there is another battle going on right here on the ground. Not the skirmishes erupting in the press between the U.S. and China over the value of the Yuan but a full on battle between those who are trying to ship things and the logistics of a shipping industry that took boats out of service in order to preserve whatever margins were left after the credit crisis induced recession drained the profitability pool on ocean traffic.
