Raytheon in $1.1 Billion Taiwanese Patriot Missile Contract Zacks.com submits: Raytheon Company (RTN) has received a $1.1 billion contract for the production of Patriot Air and Missile Defense System for Taiwan. The award includes ground system hardware under an initial contract valued at $965.6 million and an initial spares contract valued at $134.4 million. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, issued the contract. After spending a year at extremely depressed levels, it is now up over 20% from its year-end '09 lows as of last week. I don't know enough about this to say that it's hugely important, but it can't be bad news, of that I'm pretty sure.
