Paragon Shipping: Financial Gauge Analysis for the September 2009 Quarter Neil Carvin submits: In a previous article, we examined Paragon Shipping's (NASDAQ: PRGN) Income Statement for the third quarter of 2009. Earnings in this period, which ended on 30 September, fell from $0.59 to $0.40 per share. The average number of shares outstanding increased by 64 percent, relative to the same quarter of last year, as a consequence of two dilutive equity offerings earlier this year. Since the sticker shock and delay discussions involve recent news, I'll touch on them first before getting into the fuzzier aspects of manufacturing capacity forecasts.
