Daimler Affirms 2010 Guidance
Zacks.com submits: Daimler AG (DAI) has confirmed its guidance for 2010, provided while releasing the sales and earnings results for 2009. The company continues to expect earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of €2.3 billion ($3.1 billion) for the year. Daimler expects revenue to grow during 2010, but not to surpass the 2008 levels. Ford to Open New Plant in China

(F) and its joint venture (JV) partners in China, Mazda and Chongqing Changan Automobile will open a new engine manufacturing plant in the southwestern city of Chongqing. The JV, Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Ltd., has signed a memorandum of understanding with the local government to build the plant. The plant, entailing an investment of $500 million, will be the third plant of the JV.
